Spiritual Direction
An unhurried space with a spiritual companion to help you cultivate awareness of God.
Individual Spiritual Direction
Cultivate a safe place to experience God and process your own spiritual journey.
In spiritual direction a spiritual companion cultivates the sacred space you long for so that you can connect with, reflect and experience God’s living presence. At its core, spiritual direction is “companionship in your ever-deepening relationship with God.”
It is sometimes easier to explain what spiritual direction is by explaining what it is not. It is not counseling or coaching. It is not structured or guided by any one but the Holy Spirit. This is your time. It is not talking but listening, not noisy but silent. It is sacred. It is prayer. It is holding space for Presence.
Meet our Spiritual Directors
Jenna Norman
Hi, my name is Jenna. I’m a spiritual director, and I consider it a sacred honor to walk alongside others in their journey with God. I received my certificate in Spiritual Direction through Sustainable Faith in 2021 and have been actively practicing ever since. I founded Shiloh ATL out of a passion to help people move beyond simply knowing about God to experiencing a deeply personal and transformative relationship with Him outside of the church walls.
I specialize in working with individuals in their 20s and 30s who are navigating transitional seasons or facing spiritual burnout. These moments can feel disorienting, but I believe they’re also sacred invitations to slow down, listen, and reconnect with God in new ways.
I offer one-on-one Spiritual Direction both in person at Trinity Anglican Church and virtually via Zoom. If you're in a season of transition or feeling spiritually weary, I'd be honored to journey with you.
Karyn McDaniel
Karyn is a certified spiritual director who enjoys creating space for people to experience God’s faithful and loving presence in the midst of their everyday life. Having been trained in the Enneagram as well as in directing the Spiritual Exercises created by St. Ignatius, she is particularly interested in the unique path God has each of us on that leads us to our true home in Him. She has experience in creating and facilitating spiritual exercises designed to foster spiritual growth in individuals and in group settings. She is available to meet in person at Trinity or via zoom.
FAQ
-
One may inquire about spiritual direction when life changes in ways that are outside of our control, when we are trying to find a way forward and things are unclear, when our old ways of praying don’t seem to be feeding us, or when we are just plain looking for “something more.” For as often as inner restlessness and outer transitions bring people to spiritual direction, there is something even more common—the recommendation of a friend. Often what brings a person to spiritual direction was someone who said, “I recommend you consider meeting with a spiritual director about this”.
-
Typically you will meet with your Spiritual Director once monthly. This will occur at an agreed upon time and place including meeting virtually using ZOOM or other technology. We suggest a donation of $75 per hour for one-on-one spiritual direction and $45/person for group spiritual direction. Some people can give more and some people can give less. Making a donation is an investment in your spiritual life and the ongoing provision of the ministry of spiritual direction. If cost is a barrier, all requests for financial assistance will be considered.

Group Spiritual Direction
Reveal
A Small Group Experience With God
Reveal invites us to journey with God in sacred community through four seasons, each lasting 9-10 months.
We begin the journey by learning to listen and hear from God in our prayer lives, and then progress on an inward journey of living out Jesus’ Great Commandment - loving God... loving others... and loving ourselves.
-
Season 1
Who are You God? A.W. Tozer once said, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” In Season One we begin to learn how to allow God to reveal who He really is through The Holy Spirit.
-
Season 2
Who am I? To truly love God, others and ourselves we must see ourselves with the eyes of Jesus. In Season Two we begin an inward journey as God reveals who we are as loved sons and daughters created in His image.
-
Season 3
Longing for More. As human beings, God’s relational longing with and for us is often unimaginable. In Season Three we experience the Divine invitation into a love relationship that few know is possible.
-
Season 4
Living as One. Jesus prayed that we would become one with Him (John 17:22-23). What does it mean to become one with God, Jesus’ greatest desire for all of us? In Season Four we practice and experience this union.

FAQ

What is Reveal?
Reveal is a 2 to 4 year journey in Spiritual Formation…becoming more and more like Christ for the sake of God, ourselves and others. As part of an online or in-person Reveal community you will be exposed to the ancient way of transformation as expressed and written about by many who have journeyed before us. Reveal is not a study but an experience that engages your heart, mind and soul. We often say what happens in a Reveal group is caught not taught. Together through listening, abiding prayer and spiritual practices we seek continual spiritual renewal in Christ Jesus.
-
If you are sensing there is more to the Christian journey than you have experienced to this point or if you long for an authentic and transformational community of fellow travelers, we believe you would be blessed to engage in this journey with us. There are no prerequisites besides a “holy curiosity” to know God in a deeper and more intimate way than you do today. We trust that God will meet us in Reveal exactly where we are.
-
The cost for each season of Reveal is $595. A season is nine months in duration, meeting together every other week. The cost includes all Reveal curriculum for one season and facilitation of the group by two trained Spiritual Directors. We will also supply a suggested reading list for each season. These additional books are not included in the cost.
-
To maintain intimacy and allow each individual community member adequate time to process within the group we limit each small group to 8-10 people.

As a woman in her 40s and a mom of four, life is so full. Having intentional space set aside with women who desire to follow Jesus more deeply is like being offered a glass of water in the desert of the daily busyness. We gather to share stories and wonder together where God has been at work in our lives and what He might be inviting us into right now. Being in this group has been a reminder that we are called to walk the journey of faith together and the gift of having our eyes opened to the deep abiding friendship with God and each other.
- Jess Teague
The thing I’ve appreciated most about being in a reveal group, is the unique space to engage with others, authentically about our lives with God ourselves different practices, and Contant, the ability to process and companion with others about our spiritual lives that are often experience and isolation or internally has been in lightning, encouraging and a gift to me.
