The beginning of a new year offers us a beautiful opportunity to pause and notice where God has been present in our everyday lives. In the Church calendar, this season falls between Christmas, when we celebrate Jesus entering into our ordinary human life, and Lent, when we begin to journey toward his death. It is a season to pay attention to the life in between, the ordinary moments when God meets us, speaks to us, and invites us to notice his presence.

During this half-day retreat, we’ll practice the Prayer of Examen, making space to look back over the past year with curiosity and gratitude. From there, we’ll turn our attention toward the year ahead, asking what God might be inviting us to notice, receive, or step into. Together, we’ll make space to look both backward and forward, trusting that the God who has been present in our ordinary lives is the same God who will meet us in whatever comes next.

We will provide coffee, tea, and light snacks. Bring a journal, pen, and water bottle. Registration is required, and space is limited. This retreat will be held at a retreat house located at 4161 Falcon Dr SW, Austell, GA 30106. The space has indoor spots for reflection and ample outdoor space. Feel free to bring a camp chair or picnic blanket to sit on!
